I actually got this from a friend of mine who had recently been on vacation in Hawaii on the Island of Oahu in Waikiki. He found this Tiki in the trashcan at the beach by the police station. He mentioned to me that he thought it was strange that such a beautifully handcrafted tiki still in pristine condition was in the garbage.
There was a local Hawaiian police woman by the entrance to the station, and being the good willed individual he is decided to wave her down and tell her. He asked her if she knew there was this Tiki in the trash. She told him yes, she knew because she put it there. She told him that he didn’t want it and he should just put it back. He asked her why and she told him it was something she found down the street from a strange case where someone had called the police reporting strange poltergeist activity at the house.
When they arrived at the house they found the older couple that lived there were both dead. The maid was the one who called the police she had ran from the house with the tiki and thrown it from her car as she drove away. She claimed she did it in an attempt to save the homeowners lives from the tiki curse. According to the maid the curse was put on them from the previous owners of the land that the couple had purchased and built a home on. The maid claimed that the Hawaiian family was cheated out of their land and wanted revenge. The policewoman stated that she found the tiki and asked the detective if it was relevant to the case. She said he just laughed it off and told her to keep it as a souvenir and that the couple died of natural causes. The man had a heart attack when he realized his wife had just had a stroke. They both died waiting for the ambulance.
She said the tiki started attempting to contact her in her dreams and strange poltergeist activity started to happen around the house. When he asked her why she wanted to throw it in the city trashcan she said she wanted to throw it out somewhere far from home so it doesn’t somehow find it’s way back in the house. My friend laughed at her and she just stared him in the eyes. She told him if he wants to mess around with it he can at his own risk. He brought back the souvenir and had it for about two weeks and then called me. He told me he needed me to come and cleanse the house because of some poltergeist activity and everyone was having strange dreams.
Of course it was related to the Tiki and I took it off his hands as payment for the cleansing. I tried to find a tiki that matches it but it doesn’t look like any Hawaiian/Polynesian tikis I have ever seen. I have not made any contact with this entity and have avoided any contact it has attempted to make with me because I don’t want to find out what is down that road I have too much going on as it is.
